GrassAds Awarded Four Nations Contract.

Official Four Nations Logo

17th September 2010

Grassads announced today that they have been awarded the contract for on field signage for the upcoming Rugby League Four Nations 2010 tournament.

The 2010 Four Nations tournament will be played in Australia and New Zealand during October and November. The tournament will be the second time the Four Nations has been held, following on from the 2009 edition held in England and France that was won convincingly by Australia.

The series will be contested between Australia, England, New Zealand and winners of the 2009 Pacific Cup, Papua New Guinea, after they defeated the Cook Islands 42-14.

The 2010 series is the second of three Four Nations series planned before the 2013 Rugby League World Cup, with the venues rotating between the Northern & Southern hemispheres. The 2011 Four Nations will be held in Europe and teams competing for a spot will feature in the 2010 European Cup which features France, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. The competition is in a "mini-league" format, each team will play each other once, with the top two teams making the final.

GrassAds has had a great year with the NRL providing striking grass signage and advertising each weekend at rounds of the National Rugby League around Australia. Winning the rights to produce the signage on ground for the Four Nations caps off a stellar year for the company.

GrassAds produces the worlds largest advertisement on the ground...

3 Years have gone by since we combined forces with WOW Sight and Sound and V8 Supercars to produce what was and may still be the worlds largest advertisement on the ground. So we thought we would dig out those photo's for you to enjoy again.

It was constructed for the 2007 round of the V8 Supercars at QLD Raceway, Ipswich in QLD, Australia. We still believe that this is one of the biggest signs produced on the ground in the world.

These aerial shots were taken to get the full effect of the scale of the painting.

We are presently planning the next massive advertisment on ground. It will be big... we can assure you of that. Get in touch with us if you are interested in becoming involved.

Outdoor Media is effective... very effective.

The Outdoor Media Association recently reported that Outdoor advertising has been growing steadily since 2002 and, together with online has been identified by industry analysts as offering the greatest growth potential.

In 2009, the outdoor media share is 3.18 per cent of Australia’s $12.6 billion advertising expenditure, totaling $399.9 million in revenue.

Excluding directories, advertising expenditure for 2009 is $11.1 billion with the outdoor media share at 3.6 per cent.

In 2009, the industry changed the way it reports revenue performance to align with the introduction on its new audience measurement system, MOVE (Measurement of Outdoor Visibility and Exposure).

Rather than categorise revenue results by format, performance will be reported under the audience environments of Roadside, Transport and Retail.

Roadside will be reported in two categories - the first comprising supersites and billboards (large formats), with the second including posters, bus/tram shelters, kiosks/toilets, phone booths, free standing panels, taxis and bus/tram externals. Transport will include bus/tram internals, airport internals and precincts, railways stations and bus terminals, and Retail will report all shopping centre panels, including car parks and internals.

Advertisers are increasingly acknowledging the effectiveness and reach potential of outdoor advertising. Today every category of advertiser is featured on outdoor media compared to a select few ten years ago.
